Entry Description

NAVICELLA: Life is an expedition, an adventure of the unknown. The vessel in which we travel must arrive safely through changes and pressures much like our human bodies take us through the challenges of life. As a designer, I want to explore the concept of the transformation and the journey of life via the vessel of creative process, and express it in terms of beautiful, functional design. Navicella “the little ship” is representative of the new frontier and endeavors of an explorer.

Blown copper-blue glass crackled finish with hand made copper fins. 24” tall x 11” diameter. Displayed in VENEZIA BIENNALE 2018 Architectural Venice Biennial
