Entry Description
The lighting design for Tame Impala's Coachella set was a contemporary update of a 60's psychedelic light show. Under the creative direction of Willo Perron we created an intricate, precise lighting scheme that was cued to each beat of the music. Swirling gradients replaced solid colours and sharp moments of blinding strobes punctuated musical accents. Lighting, video, effects and an army of lasers were programmed with one voice. An iconic 40' wide ring of light bucked vertically and descended down onto the band.
