Entry Description

Lalina Cove is an advanced architectural cove lighting solution designed for seamless integration into complex spaces. One of the first field-curvable and cuttable cove systems on the market, it was developed as a solution to a common industry challenge—rigid lighting systems prefabricated to inaccurate field measurements, leading to installation issues when they cannot be adjusted on-site. In response, Lalina Cove allows for precise on-site adjustments, effortlessly conforming to curved coves and intricate geometries with internal radii as small as 9 inches.

Its mud-in extrusion system ensures a seamless, built-in appearance. Once installed, the extrusion disappears into the architecture, leaving only the light behind. The ceiling-facing asymmetric optic delivers soft, indirect illumination, while the manufacturer’s proprietary Wide Asymmetric Optic is available for applications requiring extended horizontal light projection.

In addition to ordering custom lengths, designers can tailor Lalina Cove by specifying the light output and color temperature—ranging from 2700K to 5000K, including Warm Dim and Tunable White options. Multiple driver choices and PoE compatibility ensure seamless integration into any lighting system. Lalina Cove’s glare-free, indirect lighting contributes to visual comfort, aligning with WELL Building Standard principles.
Sustainability Approach

Sustainability is a key consideration in Lalina Cove’s design. The Lalina Cove product manufacturer was one of the first U.S. architectural lighting companies to become CarbonNeutral® certified in 2019, offsetting emissions to achieve net-zero impact. The product’s aluminum extrusions contain 85% recycled content, and its U.S.-based manufacturing ensures BABA compliance, supporting local supply chains while reducing its environmental footprint.

A commitment to high-performance, energy-efficient design has also driven advancements in LED technology, enabling Lalina Cove to operate with reduced energy consumption over its lifetime.
