Entry DescriptionConcept:
The lighting should transform the temple into a symbol of spirituality and architectural harmony, making it visible from different points of the city without being overwhelming. It is essential to strike a balance between solemnity and restraint.
1. General Flood Lighting
Goal: To create a soft, uniform background that highlights the temple in the nighttime cityscape.
Techniques:
Use neutral-temperature floodlights (3000–4000 K) mounted on poles and special pedestals.
Diffused light (wide-angle optics) to avoid harsh shadows.
2. Accent Lighting for Architectural Elements
Domes & Crosses:
Lens-focused spotlights (10–15° beam angle) directed upward to illuminate domes and crosses.
Facades:
Accent lighting with compact projectors to emphasize vertical lines, using varying color temperatures (3000K and 4000K).
Recessed lighting in arches and cornices to create a "floating" effect.
3. Dynamic Scene Control
Different lighting modes for weekdays, holidays, and religious services.
Programmable adjustments to enhance spiritual and visual impact.
This lighting concept ensures the temple stands as a beacon of faith and architectural beauty, blending seamlessly with its surroundings while adapting to different occasions.
