Entry Description

The two lights, Fruit Stack and Ceramic Light were selected for their blend of concept, function and sustainability. Refelecting how aspects of a bazaar can be understood through lighting, they enhance the theme while serving as flexible decorative elements, suitable for both wall-mounted and pendant.
Sustainability Approach

Following circular economy principles, the focus of the lighting designs is on durability, waste reduction, reuse, and adaptability through stackable and modular construction. The lights are intentionally designed for easy disassembly, allowing individual modules to be replaced, repaired, or reconfigured without discarding the entire fixture—extending product lifespan and reducing material waste. This approach not only supports sustainable consumption but also encourages user engagement in the lifecycle of the product. The materials used—such as recycled PLA, wood-filled PLA, and clay-based paste—are all locally sourced, further minimising environmental impact through reduced transportation emissions and supporting local economies. These material choices reflect a commitment to sustainability while offering unique textures and finishes that align with both ecological and aesthetic
