Entry Description

This balance lamp was designed as part of a course focused on creating a high-quality work lamp—one that allows precise direction and can be stopped at a wide range of positions in space.
Beyond its functional foundation, the lamp explores the sensation of floating and the desire to disconnect from the overwhelming reality that surrounds us. Its balanced structure allows it to hover lightly, yet purposefully, within space—emphasizing a meditative and personal experience with light.

Sustainability Approach

During the development process, sustainability played a key role. The rods used in both prototypes and the final model were made from leftover parts of an unsuccessful online purchase—given new life and meaning. The joints were 3D-printed using recycled plastic remnants, turning waste into functional, intentional components.
