Entry Description

Flesh Juicer merges a unique heavy metal style with Taiwanese folk beliefs and diverse musical elements. Their exaggerated stage actions and highly provocative performance have earned them a cult-like reputation. Their iconic concert series “Building Temples and Shrines” reached a new dimension in this show.
A three-story “Flesh Temple” was built on stage, with lighting structures forming the temple's dragon pillars. Wash lights arranged in clusters of four resembled intricate carvings, delivering dynamic movement and retro visuals akin to traditional lanterns. The industrial stage design, featuring a gate made of metal mesh, combined with heavy smoke and intense backlighting, created a look rarely seen in mainstream music.
The show seamlessly integrated visual elements with lighting effects. On the LED screen, a giant pig head representing vocalist Gigo’s massive pig-headed figure spewed smoke from its mouth and shot beams from its eyes directly at the audience. Extensive use of live cam effects captured the performers’ exaggerated movements within layered lighting contrasts and shifting shadows.
Through the fusion of lighting, visuals, music, and performance, Flesh Juicer successfully conveyed their signature "brutal, fun, and wild" spirit to everyone in attendance, immersing them in the overwhelming impact of "Building Temples and Shrines: Cosmic Prophecy."
Sustainability Approach

We used energy-efficient, reusable LED fixtures to reduce power consumption and heat emission without compromising visual impact. To minimize on-site energy use, we utilized lighting visualization software to pre-program effects in a virtual environment, streamlining setup time and reducing carbon output.
By optimizing fixture quantity and placement, we achieved rich visual expression with minimal resource use. Through these actions, we not only reduced the event’s environmental footprint but also demonstrated how stage lighting can be both impactful and sustainable.
