Entry DescriptionLviv Tech City is a business campus with a lighting design that meets LEED Gold certification standards. Facade lighting is achieved through concealed light sources integrated into the architectural structure. Warm white lighting harmonizes with the facade’s color palette and its illumination, with custom luminaires placed in tall, narrow niches. This creates an effect of soft, warm light that flows like water.
Sustainability ApproachThe lighting design for Lviv Tech City was developed with consideration for the surrounding architecture and urban context, minimizing light pollution while adhering to high environmental standards.
To illuminate the facade of Lviv Tech City, the light output was optimized to prevent glare in the windows of the adjacent residential building and to avoid interference with street lighting. The solution involved protective housings fitted with customized luminaires. As standard sizes did not suit the facade’s structure, the size and power of the luminaires were individually calculated and custom-manufactured. This approach concealed the light sources and eliminated light pollution for the building’s windows, as well as the surrounding environment, including the street, trees, and windows of the neighboring building.
