Entry Description

Our aim when developing the A-Beam extruded terracotta light was to bring about an interesting fusion of traditional ceramic craftsmanship and precision engineering along with the very latest LED lighting technology. Every aspect of the design, from the visible extrusion profile to the minimal powered suspension system, has been developed in pursuit of a sense of simplicity and celebration of the materiality. The end result is a deceptively simple looking product with a clean-lined, modern aesthetic and sparse style that blends harmoniously with the richness and sense of antiquity of the terracotta.
