Entry DescriptionAs a model of the start - up area, the City Urban Hall Plot A features a square - shaped building surrounded by a central public space, connecting four functional zones. Lighting fixtures are installed in the petal - shaped membrane roof of the central shared building, making it a prominent visual focal point at night, like blooming petals. In the plot's paths and central square, landscape lighting is minimized. Instead, the internal light of buildings is utilized to enhance the sense of daily life and work, avoiding excessive floodlighting and following architectural logic to create a comfortable living and working lighting environment.
The lighting design here is dedicated to creating an elegant nocturnal environment for scientists, inspiring their future - focused ideas. Moreover, it serves the purpose of scientific outreach, allowing the public to gain insights into scientific research. Eschewing the flamboyant urban lighting style, it pursues a soft, harmonious glow amidst the natural scenery, cultivating a serene research atmosphere. Low - level lighting is implemented, with fixtures placed at ground level. This not only provides a relaxed ambiance for scientists to think while walking but also starkly contrasts with the bustling city.
