Entry DescriptionFor this project, we created a comprehensive lighting design for the gallery facade, where light became a key element in perceiving the architecture and interacting with the audience. The facade gained a unique dynamic through custom luminaires with ellipsoid optics, hidden behind the decorative elements of the building. The light softly reveals the balcony patterns, creating media-like flows that change the perception of the facade depending on the time of day and scenario.
We developed several lighting scenarios with different dynamics, color schemes, and intensity — for daily use, seasonal events, and holidays. Each scenario can be easily activated and switched via a dedicated app, allowing remote control of the facade’s mood.
A special interactive effect allows visitors to control the lighting using a smartphone or tablet. By swiping across the screen, they can change the colors, intensity, and dynamics of the facade’s lighting in real time. This makes visitors active participants in the light composition, creating their own visual scenarios and experiencing a direct connection with the building.
For the landscape lighting, we used our compact luminaires, which create a natural play of light and shadow. They are almost invisible and integrated into the plants and surroundings, highlighting the details of the facade without distracting from its architectural form.
