Entry DescriptionSun Brewhouse turns a glass-façade industrial brewery into an emotional glowing landmark, lit from within. For the main glass façade, rather than lighting the exterior directly, suspended linear LED wall washers are placed inside, casting 4000K light across the stainless-steel tanks and taking advantage of their reflective surfaces. The result is a ruby-red inner glow — a “heart of the town” — shining like a subtle gem that quietly turns heads without excessive brightness. Meanwhile, soft wall grazing lends a quiet classical elegance to the other façades. As a decorative gesture, marquee LED lights along the arched roofline — inspired by vintage cinema marquees — blend nostalgia with contemporary character.
Inside, visitors walk through the brewing process, guided by a flexible and architectural lighting system suspended from a technical ceiling. This mix of LED spotlights on tracks, single spot projectors, and ground-mounted uplights gently reveal the form of the beer tanks and production line, while wall-mounted industrial decorative luminaires reinforce the raw brewery character. The interior lighting system is designed to serve different functions including wayleading, object highlighting, and decorative accent.
Lighting here serves not only as architectural illumination but also as entertainment, blurring the line between industrial facility and exhibition experience.
Sustainability ApproachThe project uses interior warm LED lighting to illuminate the glass façade, allowing one energy-efficient system to serve both interior and exterior functions. Adjustable LED spotlights are mounted on track systems so they can be re-aimed or reused in future layout changes, enabling easy maintenance, refitting and long-term flexibility without waste.
