Entry DescriptionCrafted in artisan blown glass and hand-polished steel, the Element chandelier is a sculptural 92"H lighting creation that explores the inherent aesthetic relationship between symmetry and asymmetry. "There’s a fascinating tension between these two states — rest and motion, order and chaos, simplicity and complexity — that creates its own equilibrium,” explains Levi Wilson, Element's designer and the founder of Hammerton. “Element is unquestionably asymmetric in design but its compositional elements are symmetrical. Therein lies its aesthetic power.”
Element is made to order with three glass colors and more than 20 finish options. Each crystal-like glass shade weighs over 15 lbs. and reveals a smaller LED illuminated glass shade nested within it. Element is illuminated by 93 CRI/2.700K CREE® LEDs.
Company Descriptionince 1995, Hammerton has set the industry standard for boldly designed American-made lighting that is exquisitely handcrafted, perfectly proportioned and meticulously detailed. Over the last 20 years, Hammerton has continued to develop its design leadership position by expanding beyond steel to include blown and kiln-fired glass and a variety of other traditional and unique materials. Over half of the company’s production includes some element of custom work, whether it’s scaling a catalog product to fit a particular space, incorporating customer-specified materials, or creating completely custom fixtures from scratch. Today, the Hammerton team of over 100 artisans, designers, engineers and sales and service personnel operates out of the company’s 50,000 square foot Salt Lake City facility. Hammerton fixtures illuminate leading hotels and restaurants, luxury resorts and casinos, corporate headquarters, private clubs and some of the most beautiful homes in North America.
