Entry Description

Lichten Light is inspired by Roy Lichtenstein and his ben-day dots. Depending on the arrangement of the ben-day dots different visual perspectives can be perceived. I utilized the same idea and applied the ben-day pattern to a three dimensional object with each individual side looking as if it was three dimensional as well. With this I was able to create a light that is sculptural and visually appealing. When the lamp is turned on thatâ€™s when the dots become apparent and more dominant than the form of the lamp.
