Entry DescriptionMangrove House is amazing kids club playground for hotel facilities with playful & dynamic experience with mangrove forest theme. Children learning through activities. Educational playing session has important role to spark their curiosity and fostering knowledge in enjoyable ambiance. With its given “Mangrove Forest” theme, the lighting design should emphasize the overall ambiance as well.
Playful and engaging design approach should be the main ideas to stimulate children so they can explore, play, learn, and relax in such beautiful thematic experience of mangrove forest.
Emphasizing nature elements where the sky meets the underwater world in mangrove ecosystem. The idea of transition of time, from day to night, and transition of surrounding, from forest to underwater are interpreted with modern technique of lighting design & technology.
Soft, but dynamic lighting design effect using RGBW GOBO water effect projector create unreal underwater ambiance. Fiber Optics is used to create glow worm effect inside the cave" locker. And dynamic starry point light throughout the indoor ceiling in the playground are some presented design ideas to provide immersive ambiance for the kids club. And the experience is not only stopped indoor, but also outdoor. All with highest concern that all lighting fixtures should be securely & safely installed for kids & their families to play.
Sustainability ApproachAs we involved in the project quite late and yet the design intent need to incorporate dynamic scenes capabilities. We came up with the decision to use wireless bluetooth control system to control the scene based on the timezone through intensive discussion with the user & hotel operator. With these technology, the installation process was done without any significant hassle and the user can maximize energy efficiency control through apps or laptop with internet access practically from everywhere. Even for maintenance issue such as minor reprogramming and error monitoring of the devices can be done remotely.
Although there are various specific used of luminaires type such as GOBO projectors, fiber optics, and RGBW linear light, the control system is quite reliable and compatible for such LED applications.
