Entry DescriptionTo appreciate a church not only for its religious identity but also for its historical, artistic, and architectural value inspired the concept of resignification of a building: the church as a museum. We aimed to highlight the architectural elements, as well as the frescoes, paintings and sculptures within the building, which tell the city’s story and reinforce its cultural identity.
We implemented a control system that allows the creation of three lighting scenes: Museum, Mass, and Special Celebrations. Adjustments to light intensity and contrast are tailored to the specific objectives of each scene, adapting to their unique needs.
Sustainability ApproachFacing a tight budget, we decided to build some of the accessories on site and collaborated with local factories to assemble the lighting fixtures, significantly reducing costs. The networked wireless control system not only minimized installation expenses but also ensured compliance with the building's regulations.
