Entry Description

This London townhouse was designed alongside architects to create a classic yet design led lighting scheme. With accents of contemporary lighting effects that gel effectively with the elegant look of the interior, collaboration between the design team was essential. Integration into joinery, ceiling details and walls was carefully considered to ensure all lighting was discreetly integrated whilst being mindful of ceiling height yet still ensuring the use of reflected light was maximised. It was important, as with every residential house, for this space to still remain a family home and accentuating the architecture and interior. Ensuring levels light of light to balance the space and create an intimate atmospheric home that flows and creates destinations to allow relaxation.
Sustainability Approach

Every product utilised complies with Part L which ensured the efficacy of the lamp was creating a compliant amount of light versus the energy used to create it. All of the downlights were integrated LED fittings comprising of a modular makeup that allowed parts to be replaced and recycled without the whole fitting needing to be disposed of. The property was controlled using a Lutron automated lighting control system ensuring that all lighting was only on when in use and all circuits were split up to ensure no lighting was on unnecessarily. All fittings had between 50,000 and 75,000 hours lifetime so they did not need regular replacement or lamp changing.
