Entry Description

Located in Três Rios, a mountainous region with open horizons and panoramic views, this contemporary residence is defined by exposed concrete slabs, steel structure, and large glass openings that ensure full integration with the surroundings. Lighting concept aimed to create different atmospheres while preserving visual comfort and, above all, avoiding reflections on glass surfaces that could compromise the breathtaking view.

In the double-height living, dining, and fireplace area, indirect sconces wash the exposed slab, generating luminance, warmth, and uniformity. This strategy eliminates ceiling fixtures, keeping the architecture clean. The effect is complemented by picture lights, pendant fixtures, and table lamps.

On the social veranda, floor-recessed uplights highlight the wooden slatted ceiling, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Subtle recessed spotlights add a theatrical touch, while pendants provide task lighting. The guest veranda follows the same approach, with floor uplights maintaining a ceiling free of intrusions.

Technical solutions include step lights for the arrival ramp, linear profiles in the garage and roof eaves to emphasize architectural lines, floor-recessed uplights for façade and landscaping, and tailored bedroom lighting with indirect profiles, wall sconces, and cylindrical pendants designed to prevent reflections.
