Entry Description

The Atis flagship store on Regent Street showcases our latest collaboration with the brand and Daytrip Studio, blending design and practicality with Atis' plant-forward philosophy. Housed in a Portland stone façade, the store features expansive windows and a 5-meter ceiling. The interior focuses on a calm, subdued aesthetic with soft yellow tones and perforated galvanized steel, letting the food and produce shine. The lighting design complements this by using layered illumination to highlight the space’s design and culinary offerings, with a neutral 3500K temperature aligning with Atis’ modern ethos.

A key feature is a bespoke "canopy of light" made of perforated steel-wrapped linear lighting, creating depth and subtle dynamism through the interaction of light and metal. This floating effect is enhanced by the light passing through the steel perforations. The collaboration with Fabricate Lighting also resulted in wall lights flanking the windows, maintaining design cohesion. Spotlights and low-brightness fixtures highlight key details without overpowering the canopy. An integrated linear lighting detail highlights the menu, complementing Atis branding and marketing content.

The system is Casambi-enabled, providing advanced control and automation, allowing the store team to manage lighting scenes for operational ease and a cohesive, inviting atmosphere.
Sustainability Approach

An entirely Bluetooth enabled scheme was considered, allowing us to create scenes for daytime and night improving the customer & staff experience, whilst optimising energy efficiency through lighting control. The wide range of control units meant that solutions were tailored to each specification, based on how zoning was envisioned without impacting on the electrical cabling install, streamlining the installation process, reducing cabling and ultimately resources, from materials to time regarding commissioning. Ethically minded British manufacturers that employ the principles of a circular economy in their manufacturing process were also favoured for this project. Ensuring that not only all specified manufacturers complied with the latest Part L compliance, but in addition offer full support & repair over the lifetime of the products.
