Entry Description

The Dutch multinational bank, ING required a lighting solution for their impressive interior that delivered a balance of the bankâ€™s heritage and its drive for innovation, blending the delicate illumination of prize artwork with a reference to the vibrancy of todayâ€™s working practices.

The lighting design concept was developed in response to INGâ€™s diverse requirements as a world-leading banking organisation, as well as its prominent art collection and the high levels of natural light the building is exposed to.

By using variations of light, there are different identities for different areas, but a sense of cohesion is still maintained across all floors that reinforces the ING brand character.

An integral aspect to the lighting concept was delivering a scheme that carefully balanced the illumination of the impressive pieces of art with precise conservation requirements.
