Entry Description

The Zapopan Basilica and the Plaza of the Americas lighting project aims primarily to revive tourism, culture and the economy of the Historical Downtown area of Zapopan, with the intention of recovering the nighttime space thanks to the comprehensive renovation of lighting using LED technology and the permanent automated VideoMapping show that invites tourists and residents to enjoy a unique outdoor experience.

The architectural lighting project has improved the nighttime image of the city. Security has been enhanced with the installation of a control and monitoring system that allows lighting to be turned on instantly and the luminaires can be programmed, offering savings up to 40% of energy. A system of dynamic whites has enriched visitors experience, offering greater visual comfort by harmonizing the tonalities and intensities of the light. The proposal has ensure a constant affluence of visitors and the growth of shops in the area, thanks to the effective use of light.
