Entry Description

“Small paper dancers” has been made for an installation art as a part of a small local island’s cultural festival in Malaysia. The art represents “freedom”. The white stones at the bottom are ourselves. Those are tied to the ground and somehow limited movement while the dancers represent our soul & spirituality. Once our will had been opened, the souls have started flying and dancing. Our small dancers may start dancing in the island’s sky and melt into various lighting colors. We used Phillips-HUE lights to display the space; the visitors may experience different color atmospheres on each time-situation, and it can be controlled even by talking to their smart phones. Also those dancers may move by natural breezes while it can be describable with many different coloring situations.
Actually, about 40 volunteers including 20 children have participated to create this art. The dancers have been mostly made by those innocent children. Even though the paper dancers were designed in
