Entry DescriptionRevolver elevates maximalist dining to new heights. From the luscious palette of dark hues and tactile finishes to its central visual anchor – a dramatic belt of bullets – every detail is crafted to achieve drama and impact.
Throughout the restaurant, the lighting is moody and subdued to heighten the experience. Space-defining lines of light create a strong visual impact in the reception and extend into the restaurant, wrapping the banquette seating in intimacy and highlighting the hammered texture of the metal ceiling. Contrasting layers of light and shadow were also used to form soft halos of illumination around the table areas. The subtlety of the lighting draws the eye through to the show kitchen and gives the sculptural bullet installation space to shine.
In the private dining room, the architectural lighting design is purposefully restrained. Recessed downlights highlight the table area and bounce light onto the surface of the decorative gold feature wall to make the setting resonate with warmth.
Outside on the terrace, a softer lighting narrative prevails to transition the mood. Downlights embedded in the soffit form a gentle layer of ambient illumination to preserve the visual aesthetic, and accent lighting in the planting and under the seats adds a final layer of discreet drama.
Sustainability ApproachThe team used high-quality LED luminaires to reduce energy consumption and employed a high-quality control system with a range of scenes that allow light levels to be appropriately balanced and dimmed.
