Entry Description

4 Times Square, located in Midtown Manhattan, recently underwent a $100MM capital improvement program that included a renovation of its entryway and lobby. An integral part of the lobbyâ€™s interior design was a backlit glass ceiling assembly that was designed to guide visitors to the buildingâ€™s two elevator banks.

The design team from HOK â€“ New York backlit an array of translucent, glaze-laminated glass that was mounted on the lobby wall and ceiling with over 200 Rosco Custom LitePad HO90 panels.. The Custom LitePads were engineered to create a continuous light source behind the glass ceiling, which not only met the lobbyâ€™s lighting design needs but also satisfied its stringent environmental standards as well.
