Entry DescriptionThe exhibition, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Russia’s nuclear industry, tells the history of the Russian atomic sector through works of art that reveal the theme of the interaction between man and energy. The exhibition features iconic works by artists of the avant-garde school, socialist realism, and kinetic art, including pieces by P.Filonov, V.Kandinsky, K.Malevich, A.Tyshler, A.Rodchenko, K.Petrov-Vodkin, A.Deineka, V.Koleichuk and others.
According to the vision of the architects and curators, visitors enter the exhibition through a portal symbolizing the energy flows of a nuclear reactor. This portal consists of two enormous lightboxes with gradient lighting ranging from ultra-warm orange to neutral white. These energy flows serve as the central leitmotif of the entire exhibition, continuing into each of its sections through accent warm light elements built into the walls. The exhibition lighting required extremely delicate work, as it was essential to maintain a balance between darkness and light. The light was meant to capture the artworks as if emerging from the darkness, enhancing the atmosphere of creation and focusing the viewers’ attention on the works of art.
Sustainability ApproachDimmable and angle changing LED luminaires are suitable for multiple use in different exhibitions. The optical system of the devices allows to use the lighting more efficiently and also leads to energy saving. In addition, the manufacturer repairs broken parts, which allows you to use the luminaire as long as possible.
