Entry Description

The Bouquet Table Lamp takes inspiration from the timeless beauty of floral arrangements commonly used as decoration in our homes. Unlike real bouquets, which are limited by perishability, maintenance, cost and allergies, this design captures their elegance in a lasting, functional form that can be displayed daily.
Reimagined as a modular decorative lamp, the design emphasises sustainability, longevity, and individuality by allowing users to choose the number of rods and arrange them in their own unique compositions.
The main components of the lamp are the base and add-on rods. The base can be used as a standalone lamp and represents the lowest possible brightness level that this lamp offers. Additional rods can be added and purchased individually, allowing the user to adjust the brightness and appearance of the lamp with each use based to match different moods and settings.
Sustainability Approach

My aim in this project was to challenge the notion that decorative lighting is purely aesthetic by proving it can also be sustainable and functional. I found the answer in the synergy between modularity and induction technology.
Guided by these principles, I sought to create a design that is simple, distinctive, and engaging.
Inspired by floral arrangements and the adaptability of modular systems, I developed a lamp that combines elegance with practicality.
Its modular structure allows for easy repair and replacement of individual components, reducing waste while extending its lifecycle.
Powered by induction technology, the lamp offers effortless customisation. Users can create a personalised lighting atmosphere that is both energy-efficient and durable.
