Entry Description

This food hall inside a train station houses upscale fast-food venues and a bar. The design elevates the traditional food court into a vibrant destination.

A wood trellis over dining areas creates intimacy and warmth, while multi-headed accent lights add sparkle. Custom table lamps with perforated metal tops impart a warm glow. Sconces on columns add visual interest, illuminate vertical surfaces, and complement an industrial aesthetic.

The bar, with its seamlessly integrated lighting, is the heart of the space. This bar sits under a light well, so the RLM fixtures accentuating it are supported on customized arms that extend from the bar structure itself. Linear edge lights within a double layer of metal mesh create a glow along the top canopy, while bottles on translucent stepped risers are illuminated from below. A linear strip light highlights the wood bar front. An automatic dimming system is programmed to transition through several presets, from a brighter daytime experience to a dimmed ambiance after dark.

Lit bottle shelves wrap columns flanking the bar and become part of the decoration, creating a striking display. The metal shelves cradle edge-lit luminous panels that uplight the bottles while concealing the source from view.

The lighting transforms and enhances the architecture, creating a stylish, welcoming spot for refreshment inside a bustling transit hub.
