Entry Description

The designer believes that the arrangement of light is the cornerstone of modern design aesthetics. Elements of contemporary art are woven into Luminous Magick, bringing magical moments into everyday living spaces.

The goal of this design is the balance between modernity and warmth. The male-oriented spaces feature a sleek, high-tech style. The garage, equipped with sensor-activated illuminated stretch ceilings, is modeled after the famous Popsicle Studio LA set. The multifunctional room, serving as both a home office and media room, uses dark tones combined with adjustable RGB lighting for a refined yet playful atmosphere.

In contrast, the common areas and bedrooms are centered around a warm, nature-inspired ambiance. The recessed stretch light fixture on the stairwell ceiling echoes the pineapple fields outside, with the lights flowing like moonlight to connect the indoors and outdoors. Custom-made lighting in the living room creates a soft, natural glow. A modern wine bar with adjustable lighting is designed for the homeowners ‘s love of hosting. The stretch ceiling in the hallway offers a gentle transition between spaces, softening the flow with subtle lighting changes.

The designer boldly uses light as a main character to guide the narrative of the space, creating an artistic visual aesthetic through the Luminous Magick.
Sustainability Approach

The entire building is equipped with smart switches for all lighting, allowing users to adjust brightness via their smartphones, which helps set the right ambiance and improve energy efficiency. The use of stretch light fixtures and indirect lighting eliminates harsh glare, protecting eye health and help the users relax.

All materials used throughout the building are completely non-toxic and zero-VOC, including paints, panels, and cabinetry. All wood in the home is natural solid wood treated only with protective finishes, utilizing traditional Japanese techniques for burning cedar to significantly enhance durability, providing resistance to moisture, pests, and decay.
