Entry Description

Inspired by the spirit of tree, we design DRYAD with geometrically and orderly arranged cone-shaped lamp base, like the barbaric growth of tree branches showing great vitality. The name DRYAD symbolizes spirituality of earth, and also embodies underground carefree elves hidden in the deep forest. We capture nature beauty and translate it into design and thus we made this solemn but lively lamp called DRYAD.
The plain surface made of old aluminum gives DRYAD a quiet and distant power with a unique personality. At the same time, it has a simple, restrained feature reflected by the hemisphere bulb made of white frosted glass, which is able to hold warm light and also softens the firmness of aluminum.
DRYAD pays attention to practicality and aesthetics. It can be charged or allows storage battery. Its switch is hidden in the lamp base and can be controlled by a simple touch. In this way, DRYAD shows simplicity in shape and function.
The simple and ingenious design of DRYAD stands quietly with its rigid and flexible shape, telling the language of abstract aesthetics. The classical geometric arrangement cleverly grabs the focus of sight. Besides, retro material adds humbleness and vividness. The special design makes DRYAD a distinct art installation that is able to stand the test of time.
