Entry Description

Ori was inspired by Japanese origami. In Japanese, “ori” means folding. As I was sitting at my desk one day, staring at a blank sheet of paper with no idea what to do, I suddenly thought, “Why not create something out of this very paper?” If we fold it in a clever way, could we come up with an interesting design? The body of Ori is made from a single sheet of metal, folded without the need for additional welding. The industrial texture of the metal is softened by the elegant curve at the top, which also seamlessly connects the lampshade to the body.
Sustainability Approach

The Ori floor lamp is made from a single sheet of metal, minimizing material usage and allowing for stackable transportation. It is crafted from recyclable aluminum alloy, making it both eco-friendly and lightweight, further reducing carbon emissions during transportation. The Ori floor lamp uses a 24V Bi-pin LED light source, which ensures sufficient brightness while being more energy-efficient.
