Entry Description

What is the meaning of light? The design of Lea began with a question—a goal to delve into the existential reasoning behind man-made lighting in today’s world.

While a bundle of flowers on the table is a common object that elevates our mood, it is also considered something emotional—similar to the effect of lighting. I found a common ground between the two; by using light as a medium and experimenting with materials, I embarked on a journey to blend industrial beauty with artistic expression.

Lea is an experiment where art meets function in a poetic dance of industrial design and emotion. Handmade ceramic vessels cradle primitive flower-shaped shades, crafting a distinctive and emotionally resonant lighting experience.
Sustainability Approach

The Lea lamp demonstrates significant potential and extensibility through its innovative use of core technology and artisanal processes. By merging industrial design with handcrafted ceramic techniques and other organic sustainable materials, Lea creates a unique lighting solution that can be expanded into various product lines. The core technology of integrating light with diverse materials opens avenues for further experimentation with different forms and finishes, catering to a broader range of consumer preferences. Additionally, the artisanal process ensures each piece's uniqueness. The Lea lamp pushes towards sustainability and high-quality craftsmanship, suggesting strong potential in both niche markets and broader consumer segments.
