Entry Description

Lighting design for the «Smoke and meat» restaurant was based on Richard Kelly’s concept of three distinct types of lighting: «Ambient luminescence, Focal glow and Play of brilliants".

Starting with ambient luminescence we took designer’s idea of neon circles for the main area. And added grazing wallwash effect to increase perception of space filled with light. Special led strip with secondary 30 degrees optics used to achieve the result.

We calculated general illuminance levels to form the focal glow scenario. Creating atmosphere of intimacy for each table and attracting guests' attetion to the interior.
Luminaires with zoom optics give a possibility to technically adjust light spot according to the interior furniture and plants.

Play of brilliants scenario works with coloured neon and light box on the walls with plants peeking through the haze.

The project is dominated by a color temperature of 2700K, which works well with interior, cuisine and warm ephasize the atmosphere of the cooked meat on fire.
Sustainability Approach

Our strategy for sustainable lighting solutions to combine most effective lighting tools on the market with ecological responsibility in manufacturing and also with technological expertise.
Special optics of the luminaries precisely deliver light where human perception needed without light spill.
All lighting equipment using in this project are designed for a service life of no less than 5 years.
