Entry Description

The lighting project "La Encomienda" is designed over an area of 230 m² and is located on the first floor at City Angelópolis building. The most important challenge was to achieve good lighting during the day.
The restaurant features a large terrace, and windows oriented towards the southeast. Therefore, the incidence of natural light during the day is of utmost importance and has a significant impact on 35% of the restaurant. The lighting design is planned to have different scenarios and achieve control that manipulates the luminous flow in the back part of the restaurant, where natural light incidence is minimal.
In La Encomienda project, the goal was to create a cozy space that invites diners to disconnect and enjoy their gastronomic experience, with indirect lighting that gives the sensation of being embraced by a large fireplace in 22K.
Magnetic track luminaires were used to provide high visual comfort for illuminating the tables and food. It was also considered to showcase the furniture where wine bottles and the customers' meat knives are placed, especially for those with their own wine cellar.
The lighting design is intended to include certain discreet areas with lower luminous flow, providing some diners with privacy to discuss business.
For the bar and counter, a lighting design system was created that ranges from low temperatures to high temperatures.
