The Pierre Ballroom restoration was a mission to breathe new life into an iconic New York venue, blending classical elegance with modern, transformative lighting design. Our approach celebrates the room’s rich architectural heritage while offering adaptive functionality for a diverse range of events. To enhance the architectural details, floor-recessed uplighting along the columns adds a sense of drama, while cove lighting from the architrave elevates the perception of ceiling height, creating a dimensional and sophisticated atmosphere.
The lighting system is designed to seamlessly transform the room for three primary functions: business conferences, elegant dinners, and weddings. For business events, bright and crisp 3000K lighting fosters a productive and professional environment. When transitioning to a wedding or dinner setting, the lighting softens, with warmer tones and pin-spotted tables creating a more intimate, celebratory mood. For weddings, couples can fully personalize the atmosphere with an advanced RGBW system, transforming the ballroom into a romantic, bespoke setting.
A key technical achievement is the complex truss system that allows for the effortless change of fixtures and lighting setups, catering to the unique demandsof each event. Whether it’s stage lighting for performers or tailored ambient lighting for dinners, this dynamic approach ensures versatility
Sustainability Approach

Our sustainability mission prioritizes the use of energy-efficient lighting solutions that align with contemporary environmental standards. All specified lighting fixtures are LED, ensuring they not only meet but exceed energy efficiency codes. By incorporating advanced dimming capabilities and meticulously adjusting dim curves within the programming, we significantly reduce power consumption from the grid. This thoughtful approach minimizes our ecological footprint while maintaining the desired ambiance for those who experience the spaces.
