Entry DescriptionRenovation of the lighting at the Asian-African Conference Museum was undertaken to commemorate the historic Asian-African Conference and improve visitor experience. The previous lighting was inadequate, with inconsistent color temperatures, glare, and poor color rendering. This detracted from the museum's informational displays, which primarily consisted of historical posters related to the conference.
Our updated lighting design focuses on providing sufficient, non-glaring illumination to showcase the museum's object and enhance the visibility of the informative displays with better color rendering fixture. We maintained a consistent color temperature in warm white of 2700K-3000K except for the light box. and introduced vertical lighting to enhance the ambience of the museum while preserving the building's historical integrity.
Special attention was given to the museum's curtain boxes, where the addition of vertical lighting not only brought a fresh feel but also improved the lighting in the corridor area.
The project timeline was relatively short, with planning commencing in early November 2023 and implementation being completed in early January 2024.
Sustainability ApproachOur approach to sustainability involves keeping power consumption Lower. We have replaced all conventional lighting fixtures with LED lighting. Previously, some areas still used fluorescent tubes and halogen bulbs. We replaced these with LED lights not only to save energy, but also to protect certain objects from UV light.
