Entry DescriptionSeeing the large population being affected by a deficiency of Vitamin D, the idea was to serve mankind, overcoming this deficiency and omitting future ailments.
Oriana Light is the first-in-market solution that is smart and thoughtfully designed to provide Vitamin D effortlessly. Oriana is an intricately crafted luminaire designed for indoor spaces, which has to be fitted in the regular room setup, either on the ceiling or suspended. It provides general light for task purposes and emits healthy rays at particular intervals for Vitamin D production. When these rays fall on the human body, they generate Vitamin D, which helps in the proper functioning of bones & muscles, absorption of calcium, & overall mental and physical health.
Existing solutions to cure Vitamin D deficiency are medicines/ regular food intake/ standard sunbathing / unique therapy, which require dedicated attention. Whereas Oriana Light solution helps in healing & nourishing humans effortlessly as when someone sits in the indoor space, by default, will absorb rays that Oriana emits and be cured of the deficiency *
Oriana is made to create a premium look and feel. It tries to imitate the sun both in form & function (Emotional - The circular etched pattern on the outer ring diverges in nature and tells the story of sun rays. Function - By providing Vitamin D)

Sustainability ApproachLight is life’s necessity; one requires it to see things around and perform tasks. In the absence of natural light, we need it artificially. After field research, it was found that ceiling lights are the most common light source and are found almost in every indoor space - office/home / commercial places.
Hence, the idea to provide Vitamin D was with mindful consumption, by reimaging the ceiling light and coming up with a durable, fit-forget type of solution. Thereby, creating ‘only what is necessary’.
