Entry Description

Tearscape was created as a functional lighting sculpture,
inspired by the complex shapes and mirrored chrome metal finish found
in Hannah Jewett’s jewelry. Its fluid shape holds 3 LED illuminated matte opal glass bulbs paired with a decoratively designed switch. Inspired by AI elements, liquid metal and amorphous shapes. This design is an amalgamation of functional sculptures, fusing virtual artistry and futuristic silhouettes.
Sustainability Approach

Energy efficiency and waste reduction came into play when designing Tearscape. By using integrated LED rather than traditional bulbs, the Tearscape will never require replacement bulbs and energy usage is greatly reduced.
