Entry Description

FLAMES pendant lamp design draws inspiration from the history of onion dome shapes.
Onion domes were widely used in religious buildings in Europe and Asia starting from the 13th century and are mainly attributed to Christian culture. Its origins in architecture are still being explored and historians are not certain of the motive for the shape. One of the theories suggests that the shape resembled a candle flame and had a special spiritual meaning. Flames lamp highlights this spiritual meaning and gives a new light to this ancient architectural form.
FLAMES is made from a coated metal frame. Flame shapes frame is set with led panels. In the center of the frame there is a spherical glass pendant with a standard led bulb. A combination of the two lighting types in one lamp provides a whimsical outer glow and at the same time has enough brightness for a large space. The lamp is intended as an architectural centerpiece for private or commercial spaces.
