Entry DescriptionA pioneer in communication technology, Verizon’s new Hub engages the community in a setting that is as big, bold and iconic as their brand. The design team created building-wide installations that leverage Verizon’s technical platforms and express brand innovation.
Key areas of the building with greatest potential to deliver unforgettable experiences were identified: the exterior, entrance, main lobby and Sky Lobby. These activations captivate people at key touchpoints, inspiring them to continue their journey through various spaces. A series of contrasting lighting and media experiences are strategically designed to showcase Verizon’s innovative brand from a pedestrian’s perspective, at the Sky Lobby and at the building’s crown. Each design weaves together a story that invites people to engage with Verizon’s innovative impact.
The experience begins at the entry canopy, featuring high-contrast custom digitally backlit acrylic rods. Motion sensors capture pedestrian movement by activating nodes, creating a constantly evolving, engaging ambiance. Everything culminates at the roof deck, featuring the rods once again with an added twist, color-changing uplights which transform the roof into a canvas visible from miles around.
From the building’s base to its top, lighting serves as the key element which activates and transforms each experience, showcasing Verizon’s innovation.
