Entry Description

DT51 is located at the Chaoyang District of Beijing, and officially opened on January 6th, 2023.
DT51’s interior design is a close continuation of the interior design language found in SKP-S with dark spaces interspersed with high-reflective materials and even mirrors. Facing this new design style and challenge, the lighting design team conducted several field investigations at the beginning of the design to determine the interior lighting positioning: focus on visitors' attention on stores and products by keeping public areas dimmed.
Even though the client commissioned several interior design teams responsible for different areas of the project, the lighting design team fully absorbed the requirements of different design languages to ensure that the desired lighting design effect is achieved based on the following:
First, using 3000K CCT LED lights with high color rendering index (90+) in most areas and and other color temperatures in specific areas based on the interior design.
Second, following the shapes and the spaces provided by the interior design by using relevant lighting technique.
Third, final commissioning with lighting adjustment and dimming where necessary before the opening.

Sustainability Approach

Track lights in most public corridors that offer the flexibility to adjust the number of track lights when needed for temporary popup stores or art installations.
A Barrisol-like streched ceiling provides a uniform lighting in the DT SELECT beauty, DT SELECT fashion and RENDEZ-VOUS.
Single, double or triple down lights not only for some public corridors, but most importantly to highlight products.
Decorative linear LED tube lights forming geometric shapes installed at the elevator lobby instead of ceiling recessed down lights and in the DT SELECT fashion.
2700K CCT LED rope lights are used below the handrail and at the skirt band.
