Entry DescriptionThe project is based on an exhibition about the career of designer Oscar de la Renta. The space is conceived based on certain symbolic elements, such as the use of the letter “O” of the artist's name, this being predominant in the distribution and composition of each of the scenic elements.
Our main intention is that, through lighting, we can influence the viewer's senses, and at the same time highlight each element that makes up the exhibition, contributing to the narration of this story that facilitates the transmission of the message to the viewer.
We are inspired by being able to integrate and harmonize the lighting design with the different resources used, to build a coherent and enjoyable reading of the exhibition; where the essence of the artist is intended to be highlighted in each element.
Considering that the predominant color in this project is black, which absorbs light, the biggest challenge is to achieve optimal lighting levels and be able to concentrate it on the pieces without influencing the elements close to them. As a solution to these challenges, we select products that allow us to adjust the opening angles, change to a square or rectangular light projection, with high color rendering index, that maintain color fidelity, and that said products can be placed in locations little perceptible to viewers.
