Entry DescriptionWhen renovating the HQ of the LLB in Vaduz, the focus was on creating a studio like atmosphere. The café in the courtyard has also been completely redesigned. The open and modular designed client zones offer ideal conditions for clients and events. This was done with the aim of encouraging an active exchange with the employers and the customers, strengthening customer proximity and regional ties.
The inviting atmosphere in the public areas and the functional-decorative lighting of the offices and meeting rooms creates a unique setting. Above the tables of the meeting rooms and in the offices, luminaires are specifically designed elements. They can also be found in the customer zone, the entrance hall the café area.
The large atrium is further emphasised by light cubes in the wooden structures with the planting creating a reference to the outdoor space. Thus, giving the distinctive area of the existing building a completely new identity. Warm colours and materials contribute to the balanced atmosphere, which is complimented by well positioned lighting. In addition to technical lighting, there are always decorative elements in the form of floor lamps and wall luminaires. The lighting reflects the high-quality philosophy of the Liechtenstein Regional Bank, creating a setting that makes customers feel welcome and at ease.
Sustainability ApproachSpecial attention was given to the sustainable principles of lighting. As the project was a renovation, we had to deal with the existing building and reuse the installation. As requested by the client, this building wouldn’t be treated as a common bank building but as a demonstration of how sustainability can enhance design.
Above the tables of the meeting rooms as well as in the offices, typical ceiling or floor luminaires with diffused lighting were not chosen. Instead, a combination of high-tech lights in a decorative shell to provide both functional lighting and to create a pleasant atmosphere while consuming less energy. The hall lighting has a balanced atmosphere, underlined by discreet but carefully positioned lighting. It has been thoroughly designed following a clear sustainability guideline to maximise the energy efficiency while creating a unique atmosphere.
