Entry DescriptionThe tree symbolizes the unity of the natural and the super-technological, the physical and the digital, and the human and the virtual worlds, in which man is the main creator.
We wanted the gallery visitors to interact with this organic aesthetic form, filled with digital bits, dynamic light, and atmospheric music. For this purpose, we have created a custom mobile application through which a person can create their unique art object and interact with the sculpture using their body movements.
The Tree metaphorically reflects how our thoughts materialize in the living and digital space.
This sculpture has a complex control system and many modes.
We use:
- Internal light,
- External light,
- Six projectors were stitched into one picture
- Our own Cloud software
- A custom web application for creating your own art object.
Mode 1: Digital stories is a mode that combines internal light and media projections which in turn are connected to the music and change synchronously with it.
Mode 2: Generative mode, in which a person chooses their favorite color and effects and can interact with the tree.
To do this, we installed a sensor that responds to human movements and launches online-generated content that changes with human actions. Reacting to movements, the tree changes visually and reacts to sounds.
Sustainability ApproachWhen no one interacts with the tree, it has its own scenarios adjusted to the lighting scenarios. All scenarios are programmed, so they turn on and off according to the schedule. Separately, in the administrative application created by Expolight for lighting control, it is possible to configure which days there is no one in the Gallery. In this way, the sculpture does not use electricity in vain because everything is turned off on days when there is no one in the gallery.
The sculpture is created from recycled secondary material, which we take from a famous shoe factory.
