Entry Description

Yangzhou is a historic city known for its gardens, canal and culture. The Grand Canal Theatre, which mainly has an opera hall, a drama hall, a Multi-function hall, and a Chinese opera hall, is an important cultural complex in the city.
In the overall lighting design, we prioritize lighting gradients for different spaces. The difference in luminance levels from the outdoor to the public space and then to the auditorium ensures that has a positive experience when the audience watches the performance.
The interior lighting design of The Grand Canal Theatre creates a continuous and fluid image through continuous ceiling luminous films, gradual luminous circles, and washed bright walls. Based on meeting the needs for functional lighting, the lighting design emphasizes the visual experience of the audience.
The four theaters are all different in materials, colors, and atmospheres to form a cultural connection with the four seasons of Yangzhou. Lighting design combined with interior design takes care to meet the functional lighting and decorative lighting needs, while also paying particular attention to vertical wall lighting, which better shapes the audience's perceptions of brightnes.
