Entry Description

Katara Hills is an important public area for meetings and entertainment for locals and visitors.
The park’s location, to the beach, commercial components, and cultural attractions enhances the wider Katara complex.
The site’s impressive geography gives vistas of the city and differentiates it from other public open areas. Katara Hills is considered one of the largest public parks in Doha, where hundreds of trees from different parts of the world were grown, lit to look spectacular at night. Discrete jogging tracks, Light and shadows over the place and landscape transforming the hills into a landmark.

Distinctive stone recessed grazers, were installed on the driveway up the hill, while a wall recessed fixture directs the driveway to the underground parking area, in addition to the floor recessed uplights and floor grazers lighting the path for walkers and runners.

The lighting design was developed considering the landscape features; the shape and size of each and every tree were foreseen to provide optimal lighting for the variety of plants on the list.
