Entry Description

Since 2004 Madrid City Council invited us to redefine Xmas lights
Our designs explore the ability that light has to transform the city, showing it seductive, and reconciliating it with the citizen

Confetti works for the city 24 h a day, colonizing the gaps with circular color plates of recycled plastic, that receive and filter as color all existing light sources around, projector lamps, and the most economical we have, the sun.

Streamers are simple LED curtains that come from different streets, attracting visitors to Chueca sq., where all bands meet together as a lively and spectacular explosion of color

Garlands is an interactive system that detects the citizens walk (the pulse of the city) and translate it into fascinating lighting impulses

Bells builds a coloured passage of arches, expanding the sound of the famous clock of Sol each hour as lighting effects

Scarves works with the visual superposition of colors, lines, and surfaces, based on classical tartan pattern of wool
