Entry Description

Event Hospitality created the QT brand to challenge the usual hotel model, offering an edgy, sophisticated and location-relevant overnight stay. The brief for QT Hotel Melbourne was delightfully elastic, requesting a lighting approach which pushed the barriers of eccentricity, intimacy and discovery. The design was to provide a reflection of the intelligent, sexy, sophisticated and artistic character of the Melbourne CBD. One of the clientâ€™s primary brief elements required all feature luminaries to be unique and not able to be seen at any other establishment. This extended the lighting design scope to the design of more than 30 bespoke luminaires.
