Indigo-Cleanâ„¢, a continuous environmental disinfection technology, kills harmful bacteria linked to hospital acquired infections (HAIs). Unlike UV light, Indigo-Clean uses safe, visible 405 nm light to automatically, continuously kill bacteria in the air, on hard and soft surfaces. Indigo-Clean has a White Disinfection Mode which provides ambient white light while the room is occupied, and an Indigo Disinfection Mode which provides maximum environmental disinfection when the room is unoccupied.
How it works:
1. 405nm light emitted from Indigo-Clean reflects off of walls and surfaces where it is absorbed by porphyrin molecules within harmful microorganisms
2. Once absorbed, the light creates Reactive Oxygen Species inside the cell, creating an effect that is similar to using bleach
3. This kills the bacteria from within, preventing it from re-populating the space
