Entry Description

The lighting ’BLOSSOM’ gave me a question “what is the light for me?”.I implied the thoughts and phenomena about light in my life and put the answer in design.There is an expression called “Sumida(permeate)”.As the sunlight is absorbed into the mountains and the earth and condensed energy created a new life sprout,we can feel the expression of ‘sumida’ from the keeping of various elements such as life,thought, expression,reproduction.I can feel the ‘sumida’ for everywhere,give me an inspiration such as the earth that I walked in,the rocks in it,the trees,the flowers,life grows again.Namely,this design is just like a tree on the ground, a leaf that grows on a rock,and it is put together with nature.Like a light is reflected on the petal because of the movement of the flower’s stamen in the glass,I expressed the smell of flowers on the wind spreads like a soak into the air.The flower shape is made by an Intangible Cultural Craftsman,following the traditional technic of Korean Rice Paper.
