Entry Description

The design was brought with an idea of combining dimensional planes into one space with various geometric expressions. The geometric pattern tiling and the dimensional lighting were applied to the hospital waiting space. To develop a new design language, we applied several geometric patterns to the floor, walls, and ceiling with the emphasizing lighting system. While using two types of ceramic tiles for each wall, we decorated them in different directions to each other and tried to create some kind of the design movements to the space. Because this is a renal urology clinic and patients may feel more nervous comparing to other clinics, the client wished to make a space more luxury and something with an art feeling to give the patients more relaxing and extraordinary experiences. So, we focused on how we can make the space more art and fun. The geometric lighting expression with floor, wall, and ceiling was one of our answers.
